Lunettes De Vue Oakley Socket 5.5

It would be great if Eyebuy offered try the frames first. I had to resource this through other avenues to make sure what I wanted would fit correctly. With that said Oakley makes great products and this frame is an awesome choice. Eyebuy nailed my prescription and I’m very happy with my order. I highly recommend Eyebuy and their customer service is top notch.

Went to Stanton Optical and paid $450 for frames and lenses that weren’t 1/4 as good as these frames and with the super reasonable tinting lenses on eyebuydirect, these are over the top.

So EBD completely canceled my favorite frames of all time, the Lewis, so figured I'd spend some $$$ on some nice frames (suspiciously similar to the Lewis). The Sockets just don't have the grip that my Lewis frames had. They have rubber sleeves, like many Oakley frames, on the earpieces, but these just don't hold like the Lewis. Also, there are springs in the corner where the earpiece attaches to the frame. These are surely more durable than a hard connection that can eventually loosen where the two pieces of metal abut and can develop play and suffer wear. However, they don't clamp my head so well. The look is nice, the nosepieces are stickier. They still slide & they are harder to push up.
